As a graphic designer by trade, I have enjoyed diverse roles of corporate marketing and design, working in industries of interior design, architecture, professional sports and commercial real estate. While these opportunities provided expansive exposure for my career, I continuously had a hunger for something more creative — leading me to ditch the typical 9-5, and launch gypsum&co. in the summer of 2016.

gypsum&co. proudly specializes in the art of bespoke design, crafting handmade goods made with love. From hand-lettered calligraphy to custom invitations, watercolor illustrations and commissioned paintings, I thoroughly enjoy the process of design, intimately understanding the passion and purpose behind each project.

The studio’s name highlights my hometown of Gypsum, Kansas, a smaller-than-small country community boasting dirt roads, no traffic lights, and a booming population of 400. My family lived in the last farmhouse in the county, surrounded by endless miles of wheat fields, winding creeks and crisp open air. Alongside my siblings, I spent every possible moment exploring the great outdoors — leading me to discover a deep connection to the creativity that open space provided. To this day, my work is often inspired by the memories of my upbringing, incorporating rich elements of color, organic textures and handcrafted details.

I am a self-proclaimed Texan, proudly calling Houston home since 2012. Outside of the studio, you can find me dreaming up new design projects for our 1950’s bungalow, testing new recipes in the kitchen, or enjoying an evening walk with my husband, baby boy and energetic pup, Walter.
